Diana Cavagnaro, Owner operator of Designer Millinery has been in the Hat business for over 25 years. She has been teaching millinery at San Diego Mesa College for the past 14 years. In Addition to millinery Diana has degrees in History, Music, Fashion and is a fine artist who works in oils, air brush, and pastels. Diana has worked as a volunteer with Cancer patients for 6 years in the "Look Good Feel Better Program" a part of the American Cancer Society. She is the Founder of the "Annual Easter Bonnet Parade & Hat Constest". This event takes place in Downtown San Diego's famous "Gaslamp Quarter" and proceeds benefit UCSD Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Research Hillcrest. Diana's work has been recognized with several awards. The ABC, Channel 10 "Leadership Award" for her work with cancer patients, The Fashion Group International's prestigious "Style Award 2003", and Diana was chosen from all volunteers in California by The American Cancer Society to receive the "Sunrise Award 2003".
